Opnn leaders meet ahead of Friday's protest

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Agitating opposition parties, including Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, held their joint meeting at the NC central office, in Sanepa, Lalitpur, on Thursday.



According to a press statement issued by NC, the meeting assessed their nationwide anti-government protest from January 19 till today. It also called for broader public participation in their protest meet at Tundikhel, in the capital on Friday. [break]



Likewise, the meeting assigned the taskforce, formed earlier, to chalk out the second phase of their protest program, which the statement said will be made public organizing a press conference on February 11.



NC President Sushil Koirala, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana, were among the leaders who participated in the meeting.
