According to a press statement issued by UNDPhere on Wednesday, Clark, who is also Prime Minister of New Zealand for three consecutive terms, and Haakon will jointly meet President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and other senior government officials.
They will also visit Nepalgunj to inspect UNDP-supported governance and livelihoods programs.
Similarly, Clark and Haakon are scheduled to meet officials of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) to discuss about private sector development.
Likewise, Clark will meet the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Constituent Assembly (CA), Deputy Prime and Foreign Minister, Finance Minister and the Vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission.
According to the press statement, Clark is also scheduled to address the CA members and meet leaders of major political parties and the CA Women´s Caucus.
During his stay in Kathmandu, Crown Prince Haakon is expected to meet members of the CA´s Indigenous Peoples´ Caucus, and the Blue Diamond Society and will address students at Kathmandu University.
“The delegation is expected to underline UNDP´s commitment to Nepal and the organization´s support to the country during the current post-conflict transition period,” reads the press statement.
