POKHARA, Sept 22: UCPN (Maoist) leader and President of Public Accounts Committee of the Legislature-Parliament Janardan Sharma has said that the new constitution was promulgated as per the sentiments and interests of Nepalis, and none can impose a blockade in the country.

At a news conference this morning in Pokhara, Sharma said that no external forces can interfere in the independent decisions of Nepalis adding that no step was taken against the national interests in the constitution promulgation.

The UCPN (Maoist) leader hoped that the agitating Madhes-centric parties and indigenous groups would come for an understanding after the interpretations of the constitution's articles.

Sharma also said that the agitating sides and the government should sit for talks to resolve the problems. RSS
