KATHMANDU, April 28: John Anthony Tucknott has been appointed new British ambassador to Nepal, according to the British embassy in Nepal.

Tucknott will succeed Dr Andrew Hall who is going to retire from the diplomatic service soon.

Tucknott will assume the office in August.
