Thapa informed that the US based company would sponsor around $450,000 annually in both cash and kind.[break]
"We have agreed initial terms and conditions through emails but we will announce it officially soon," said Thapa. "+One would provide sports kits and clothing to all the national squads, including men´s, women´s and youth teams," he added.
Thapa also claimed that the company would also bear 60 percent salary of a foreign coach and an assistant coach. "Probably two foreign coaches would arrive in Nepal by mid January," said Thapa.
According to Thapa, the coaches would be appointed for a year term and take the charge of the national squad during the SAFF Championship to be held in Kathmandu in February and the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers.
Thapa informed that as per the agreement with +One, ANFA would organize a knockout football tournament under the sponsorship and arrange to friendly matches for the men´s national team.
"After the arrival of new sponsors for the national squads, our current sponsorship deal with Roots Fashion, the authorized dealer of Addidas, will come to an end," said Thapa. "Addidas and ANFA has reached to end the deal mutually," claimed Thapa.
Friendly matches with Pakistan
Addressing the press after the ANFA´s 13th general assembly, Thapa informed that Pakistan national football team would arrive in Kathmandu to play two friendly matches with Nepal in the first week of February. "We´ll have matches with Pakistan on February 6 and 9 in Kathmandu. We´ll either arrange a foreign tour or call a team to Nepal for three more friendly matches then for preparing our national team to the upcoming SAFF Championship.
Unchanged women´s team for friendly
Meanwhile, Thapa informed that ANFA has retained all the members of the Nepali national women´s team that participated in the Second Women´s SAFF Championship for the upcoming friendly matches against Kuwait. Nepali women´s team is visiting Kuwait to play 2 friendly matches against Kuwait on January 13 and 15. "Earlier, we had decided to have selection from the ongoing National Women´s League but we could not do it so because of visa procedure," informed Thapa.
