Nepal Police contributes Rs 100 million to PM Relief Fund

KATHMANDU, May 6: The Nepal Police has contributed Rs 100 million to the Prime Minister's Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the assistance of those surviving the massive April 25 earthquake.

The Nepal Police said the amount was managed with all of its staffs contributing some percentage of their monthly salary.


Meanwhile, the earthquake caused damages to 602 offices of Nepal Police.

Some 1,610 government offices, 2,494 academic institutes, 100 offices of health organisation, 296,983 personal houses and 1,054 others were damaged by the earthquake, according to the police. RSS
