KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala has said that her party should pull out from the prime ministerial race if the Unified CPN (Maoist) becomes flexible.

She told this to reporters in Capital on Monday after meeting Speaker of Swiss National Council Pascale Bruderer Wyss at her office.[break]

"If the Maoist party brings in a program in package to solve the present problems, Congress should withdraw its candidacy from prime ministerial election," she said.

Saying that democracy is at risk, she said that all should unite to save the country from any unexpected disaster.

She also said that all should not forget the path of consensus, unity and collaboration shown by her father late Girija Prasad Koirala.
