According to a source, the committee that submitted its reports a month back to Finance Minister Surendra Pandey had charged Poudel of becoming unable to contribute to the development of securities market in Nepal. Likewise, the committee had also accused Poudel of not calling the meeting board meeting regularly and tampering the decisions made by the SEBON board. [break]
As per the SEBON Regulation, the government had constituted a three-member investigation committee led by former judge of Appellate Court Govinda Parajuli about two months ago to layout allegations to remove him from the post. Dr Poudel was appointed to the post of chairman by the Maoist-led government.
