Minister sets up revolving fund

KANCHANPUR, Oct 30: Minister for Commerce and Supplies, Lekhraj Bhatta has set up a revolving fund on his own investment with the view to providing assistance for the higher education of helpless children belonging to the families of martyrs, disappeared and conflict survivors.



Minister Bhatta announced the establishment of the Fund of Rs. 1 million amid a condolence meet held at Attariya of Kailali on the 15th day of the demise of his mother Durga Devi Bhatta. [break]



The fund will be used to provide scholarship to the children belonging to the families of martyrs, disappeared, conflict victims and helpless families, who are deprived of education due to financial reasons, Minister Bhatta informed.



Meanwhile, a missing woman of Chandani VDC, Kanchanpur has been found dead nearby the Mahakali River.



Laxmi Khadka, who went missing since the past one week, was found dead on the bank of the River nearby Dodhara on Saturday evening, police informed.
