Maoist, UML talks concluded

KATHMANDU, May 25: Ruling UCPN (Maoist) and CPN-UML’s top leaders bilateral meeting concluded at the Gokarna Forest Gulf Resort on Wednesday.



The parties will sit with Nepali Congress (NC) at the same resort to discuss extension of the Constituent Assembly (CA)’s term. The top three parties have intensified bilateral and trilateral talks over the issue.[break]



The Maoist leaders present at the meeting were Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Vice-Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, CP Gajurel, Post Bahadur Bogati, Ram Bahadur Thapa and Mohan Baidya.



Home Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara left the meeting after an hour since the start.



Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, Iswhor Pokharel, Madhav Kumar Nepal, KP Oli, Bamdev Gautam, Bhim Rawal and Bishnu Poudel of CPN-UML were participants present at the meeting.
