"It is impossible to reach to power by acting like a child," he said. "The issues of civilian supremacy and national sovereignty raised by Maoists are fake."
The Maoist understanding that a government represented by the three major parties will be a national and that the Madhav Nepal-led one is a "puppet" is ridiculous, he said.
As long as the Maoist combatants stay in the camps, it is "nearly impossible" to draft the new constitution, he said. "Thus, the Maoist army should be integrated and managed before the promulgation of the statute."
Pokharel, who is also a member of the Special Committee on Integration, Management and Rehabilitation of Maoist Combatants, said the integration process should move ahead in line with the work plan of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
At the same function, Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, central member of the CPN-UML, claimed that his party is the most democratic party in Nepal.
Prof Dr Surya Subedi said non-resident Nepalis should not be deprived of Nepal´s citizenship.
