Man shot at for defying curfew in Tikapur

TIKAPUR, Aug 27: A man was injured as security personnel opened fire for defying curfew at Durgauli of the district on Thursday.

The injured is Jagat Raj Devkota, 20, of Sugarkhal-1, Fallebiasuni and has sustained bullet injuries in his stomach and knee.


It is learnt that the law enforcement agency fired after Devkota, who was riding a motorcycle, refused to stop.

Dr Lal Singh Tamatta informed Devkota has been taken to Nepalgunj Medical College after treatment was not possible at Tikapur Hospital, adding he is in serious health condition.
