Dipak Malla, 26, of Laha VDC -4 in Jajarkot, was arrested for faking his identity to entice Uma Basnet (name changed) of Sakla VDC 3 to elope with him, reported the police. [break]
Dipak had taken Uma to Khalanga promising to marry her on January 28, according to the district police office (DPO), Jajarkot. Police said Dipak was arrested after Uma lodged a complaint at DPO.
Malla has two wives, three daughters and a son.
The offender will be tried in court has been tried under human trafficking laws, said DPO spokesperson Chitra Bahadur Gurung.
