The prime minister made the appointment today in his capacity as the Chncellor of KU. KU Press Coordinator, Hari Manjushree, however, said that the university has not yet got the official letter of the appointment.[break]
Dr. Makaju is the Director at the Dhulikhel Hospital. A three-member committee chaired by Pro-Chancellor of the university and Education Minister Dinanath Sharma had recommended his name for appointment to the post of Vice-Chancellor.
The post was vacant after Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma, who was the Vice-Chancellor of KU for long time, resigned from the post some time back.
