The two largest parties have urged the public to welcome the commencement of the new constitution with "Dipawali."Issuing separate press statements on Wednesday, the NC and CPN-UML urged the general public, party committees and its rank and file to celebrate the commencement of the new constitution with vigor as Nepali people's dream of writing new constitution by their own representatives is finally coming true.
The new constitution has institutionalized Nepali people's supremacy, sovereignty and sustainable peace and prosperity for which the NC's role is significant, reads the statement issued by the party.
CPN-UML also issued a press statement urging the public to celebrate September 20 with fanfare as the constitution of the federal democratic republic of Nepal is formally being promulgated.
NC said that the new constitution will bail the country out of the existing political, economic and cultural crisis.
The parities have urged their sister wings and the government to organize public programs on September 20 to celebrate the red-letter day.
Likewise, the parties have urged agitating political parties to be a part of the constitution-making process and to attend the special ceremony to be held on the day of promulgation of the new constitution.
