UDAYAPUR, Feb 27: Police on Saturday arrested the area secretary of Kirat Workers Party (KWP) while the latter was extorting money from an official of the local forest consumer group in Udayapur.

Jiban Rai was arrested by a joint patrol of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force.

Rai is currently under detention for further investigation, the police said.
