Speaking at a party function at Kohalpur Tuesday, Koirala said, “Nepali Congress is the defender of Nepali democracy,” while maintaining that his party will win the fresh polls with a majority. He directed his party cadres to gear up for election campaign in the interest of the party.[break]
On a separate note, during an inspection visit to the flood-hit areas of Banke district, Koirala said that he will take up the issue of inundation and flooding caused by Laxmanpur barrage with Indian officials during his upcoming visit to India.
