But he said the government has not taken the threats issued to him seriously though he has already informed the government and law enforcement agencies about it. [break]
“I have already given the phone numbers used to threaten me to the prime minister, speaker and security chiefs. But I continue to receive threats," KC told Republica.
KC said he got a fresh threat on Wednesday when he was attending a function at the Reporters´ Club Nepal.
It was in January he first received life threat. According to him, a person identified as Jwala Singh had threatened him over phone that he would be killed within 15 days if he did not support federalism. Later he was threatened by another person identified as KB Palungawa, who is the general secretary of Janamukti Party. But Palungawa has refuted the charge.
“I don´t know who called him up misusing my name. It is sheer conspiracy,” said Palungawa. The callers have been using +81358774759, +81358774763, +81358774764 and +81358774750 to threaten KC.
Expressing displeasure over the government´s reluctance to take action against those threatening him, KC said, "I think, even INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization) would have been involved had it been the case of the son of Pushpa Kamal Dahal and daughter of Baburam Bhattarai.”
