The Food Festival was organized on the occasion of the Metropolitan Day in a bid to promote food items of different communities.
Food items of Brahmin, Tamang, Jyapu, Gurung, Sherpa, Newar and other communities have been kept for sale and exhibition as well.
Inaugurating the Food Festival, Minister for Culture Posta Bahadur Bogati said that our cultures should be made dynamic with the changing of time.
Minister Bogati said that the festival would help bind the people of different communities.
Executive Officer of Kathmandu Metropolitan Kedar Bahadur Adhikari said that the food festival was organized to maintain cultural unity by offering different dishes in a single event.
