The Makawanpur chapter of Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) - the organizer of the event - said the five-day ICT event saw footfall of more than 40,000.[break]
Subarna Kumar Thapa, president of CAN, Makawanpur, said transaction of more than Rs 2.9 million was recorded on the final day of the event.
Majority of the visitors were students as the organizers had offered them discount on entrance tickets.
The event featured 114 stalls, showcasing hardware, software solutions, internet service providers, mobile and accessories among others. The event also saw participation of exhibitors from Kathmandu, Birgunj and Pokhara.
The stalls featuring tablet PCs were the major crowd-pullers as it was the first time tablet PC was launched outside the capital.
CAN, Makwanpur has been organizing the event since 2008.
