Issuing a press statement on Friday, spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India said, "The reported obstructions are due to unrest, protests and demonstrations on the Nepali side, by the sections of its population."
The statement further said due to the prevailing unrest on the Nepali side, the Indian freight forwarders and transporters have voiced complaints about the difficulties they are facing in movement within Nepal, citing secure reasons.
Terming the issue as political in nature the spokesperson has suggested Nepali leadership to resolve the issue by ensuring the demands and concerns of the agitating groups in the new constitution.
