Pun: It would be more accurate to say that I decided to stay out of the government after the cabinet was reshuffled. The party decided to recall me and I honored the decision.
Republica: Did you quit for not getting the home ministry portfolio?
Pun: Back then, the party decided to send the party leaders into the government without confirming their ministries. There was an understanding in the party that I would get the home ministry portfolio later.
Republica: So you quit the government for not getting the home ministry?
Pun: I did not get the responsibility as per the decision taken by the party earlier. So I opted out of the government.
