House panel seeks papers of Nepal Police's Sudan mission purchases

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: The State Affairs Committee of the parliament on Wednesday issued a directive to the Ministry of Home Affairs to furnish documents regarding procurement of logistics for Nepal Police´s mission in Sudan to the committee within five days.



The committee instructed the ministry to provide all relevant documents after reports revealed that the logistics supplied for the Sudan mission were of low quality.



Chairman of the committee Ram Nath Dhakal issued the directive at a meeting attended by Home Minister Bhim Rawal and senior officials of the ministry. The committee summoned the minister and senior officials to query on the alleged irregularities.
