The meeting is on at the HLPM secretariat at Naya Baneshwar. It is said today´s meeting would focused on the topics in the Election Ordinance on which the parties differ and on announcing the date for the Constituent Assembly (CA) election.[break]
Top leaders, including UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML chairman Jhalanath Khanal and convenor of the United Democratic Madhesi Front, Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, are participating in the meeting.
It is believed that today´s meeting of the HLPM would be successful in forging consensus, to some extent, on the Ordinance Pertaining to the Election Act proposed by the Election Commission and thereby breaking the political deadlock that has persisted for long.
