At a press meet organized in the capital to share information about the fair, Deputy Chief of Mission at Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Jaideep Mazumdar, said that Indian tourists were attracted toward the natural beauty of Nepal. The grand tourism fair would help promote economic development in Nepal, he hoped.
Similarly, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Bal Krishna Ghimire, said that the grand tourism fair being organized with the participation of the tourism entrepreneurs from both Nepal and India would add a new dimension in development of tourism in Lumbini.
During the fair, the entrepreneurs would have opportunity to share and exchange the experiences in tourism business promotion.
Meanwhile, the Lumbini Development Fund and the Indian Cultural Relations Council are organizing a workshop on ´Buddha Religion: Historical Buddhist sites in Nepal and India´ from 15 to 17 January.
