Earth Hour 2010 is scheduled from 8.30-9.30 pm Saturday. Gorkha Brewery as a part of Carlsberg group supports the global actions on global issues such as climate change and global warming, it said.
People across the world turn off their lights during the hour. Gorkha Brewery´s website will go blank during the day leading to Earth Hour. All non-essential lights will be turned off during the hour, the release said.
Earth hour was initiated in 2007 when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2009, it became the biggest global climate change initiative with 88 countries and 4088 cities participating to cast their vote for Earth.
