Khadka scored the decisive goal in the 52nd minute during their last match of the league ending Madhyapur´s faint hope of remaining in the top tier. [break]A win or a draw could have kept alive Madhyapur´s chance of remaining alive in top tier football, but it would have to wait for the result between Jawalakhel and Nepal Police Club scheduled to be held on Thursday.
At the end of the first round of the league, Madhyapur lies in the 13th place with 13 points and Jawalakhel is in the 14th position with 14 points. Sherpa wrapped up with 22 points in the ninth position.

Unmarked Khadka unleashed a powerful shot from the six-yard box in Pukar Gahatraj´s cross after Dhiroj Tamang failed to connect paving the way for Khadka to fire it at the net. Earlier, Khadka´s twin attempts in the first half were denied by custodian Kutu while the other went off the target.
In the 13th minute, skipper Jeevan Sinkeman´s bouncing header from the area in Abedioun´s corner was punched to safety to Sherpa custodian Amrit Chaudhary. Bed Shrestha twice hit off the target in the first half. Similarly, Sinkeman hit the woodwork from the six-yard box during the stoppage time.
In another match, Machhindra and NRT shared points after a goalless draw. Machhindra skipper Deepak Rai was denied by custodian Raju Yogi in a one-on-one in the 41st minute. In the 58th minute, Bishal Rai B´s 20-yard freekick was punched by custodian Dinesh Thapa Magar while Karna Limbu fired inches above the bar in the 72nd minute.
NRT´s Laxman Ruchal´s injury time strike was denied by Dipesh Thapa Magar.
NRT remained in the sixth position at the end of the first round with 26 points while Machhindra progressed one spot to third with 27 points.
