DARCHULA, April 13: Four female students have jumped into the Mahakali River after they failed school exams on Monday morning.
Those who have jumped into the river are Mamata Chunara, 14, Nitu Lohar, 13, of Dattu-2, Puja Koli, 14, and Mamata Chunara, 13 of Dattu-3.

They were the students of Dattu-based Rastriya Higher Secondary School. They jumped into the Mahakali river after they knew that they failed the school exams, local Pratap Ram Lohar told Republica.
According to eyewitness Kamala Daga, one of their school mates, the four girls tied themselves with a shawl before jumping into the river from Nagdhunga while they were returning home.
The school published their annual exam results today itself in which three of them were unsuccessful.
A police squad with the help of guardians is launching a search operation.
