Flying solo and loving it

KATHMANDU, Feb14: Winter blues be gone, let there be sunshine and happiness. Spring is here and if you close your eyes you can actually feel the love in the air.

It’s Valentine’s Day, and what a better time to let your dear ones know about your true intention.[break]

K-Town bedecked with little hearts, aromatic flowers, confectionery, cards and gifts punctuated with the warm feelings of admiration, affection and acknowledgement is buzzing to the cupid’s calling.

Valentine’s Day always gives you many more reasons to please your love. But what if you’re single, you ask? Maybe you can take solace from others who are ready to mingle themselves and are proud to be “available.”

People get into relationship to find a companion with whom they can share the ups and downs, whine about life, cry, and share a bountiful of laughter. I’ve got my parents to do that .

Moreover, I am also not ready, yet, to adhere to all the commitments and compromise with my working hours, so I prefer to be alone! I will be buying something for my family and spending some quality time with them in order to mark the day.

Love is not something one can deliberate, it doesn’t happen by choice but when the feeling comes from within. I haven’t received or felt that feeling yet, so I am not with anybody! But I’m open to love and yes, that search for an impeccable guy is going on (laughs).

Just because I don’t have a partner doesn’t mean I will not commemorate the day reserved for love.

I’ve planned a romantic dinner for my parents and I will be relishing beautiful moments with them.

I believe that the feeling of love doesn’t only come from a person from the opposite sex.

I guess I’ll be by myself on the Valentine’s because the cupid’s arrow hasn’t gotten me, not yet. I’m still waiting for the right time and the right guy.

Having said that, I will be participating on the day of love with message of kindness, compassion and humanity towards the entire planet through the organization “Save Planet.”

If I manage to spare sometime from my schedule, I would also like to go dine at a good restaurant with my closest friends.
