The caves have been found at the initiative of Nava Yuba Siddha Club recently near at Sahithok at Bhanumati VDC-3. Of the discovered caves, three are big and two are small.
Club Chairman Surya Kumar Shrestha said that the biggest cave is around 50 meter long. Shapes of various gods and goddesses as well as teeth of wildlife are inside the caves, he said, adding that bats live in the caves.
"We are on the mission to search more tourist destinations and this discovery has encouraged us," Shrestha said.
He said that the caves will be promoted and more tourists will be attracted in the district.
