Committee´s Chairperson Binda Pandey tabled the draft after five months later than the scheduled time.
On the occasion, Pandey informed that though consensus was forged in committee´s conclusion, some note of dissent were also included in the report. She said different opinions on rights to founding political parties, rights to property, and rights to social justice including others were raised seriously.
She said economic, social and cultural rights have been guaranteed as the fundamental rights in the draft. Similarly, the draft has proposed to prepare necessary laws after two years of constitution´s promulgation for implementation of the fundamental rights.
CA chairman Subash Nembang has fixed the date for discussions over the draft on Nov. 18, 19, 22, 23 and 24. The next meeting of the CA is scheduled for Nov. 18.
