Participants will get an opportunity to discover photography skills from well-experienced, professional photographers and artists like Pradeep Yonzan, senior fine art photographer; Deepak Tolage, photojournalist; Bikram Rai, photojournalist; Sumeet Shakya, Kathmandu-based photo instructor; and Kailash K Shrestha, visual artist.[break]
Laxmi Prasad Neakhusi, a renowned photographer from Kantipur Publications, will conduct an outdoor session at Khokana, Lalitpur during the workshop.
The workshop will cover various topics relating to photography like outlining history, composition, camera lenses, caption writing, scope of photography and the importance of art in photography.
Deserving participants will get internship at reputed media houses.

“The workshop is designed for both beginners and those who already have the know-how of photography,” said Sumeet Shakya, coordinator and instructor of the workshop.
“We will prepare the portfolios of those who are interested and capable and send them to various media houses,” added Sumeet.
He also informed that the selected candidates will get to intern at Folio, Yatayat Sanchar and Cellroti.com.
“We will introduce various camera options to the participants and we will also be linking photography with art throughout the workshop,” said Sumeet.
Sumeet added, “I believe that they will be able to get good photos after the workshop.”
Participants require digital SLR camera or digital compact camera.
The workshop will be held at Artudio, Jyatha Tole, from September 14 to 24, every morning from 6:30 to 8:30. Participation fee is Rs 2,500 each.
