Speaking at a program organized to mark the 35th national unity and reconciliation day Sunday, he said the slogan of consensus is chanted only to fulfill one´s self-interest and is being proved only as a means to deceive the people.[break]
Stating that conspiracy is being hatched to enforce one-party autocratic rule by doing away with the achievements of the people´s movement, leader Poudel urged all to work in favour of democracy and peace in order to protect the achievements of the people´s movement.
CPN-UML leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari said Nepali politics is currently suffering from a crisis of trust and said the Maoists should come out honest to move the peace process and constitution writing process ahead.
