According to Khakurel, Dahal decided to pay the bail amount himself and Khakurel will deposit the money at Kathmandu DAO on behalf of Dahal after 10 am this morning. Dahal has also urged police to release Kunwar from custody.
Kunwar, who had publicly slapped UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, was sent to Central Jail, Sundhara after he failed to deposit Rs 28,000 bail. He was presented before the DAO, Kathmandu on Monday.
Kunwar was in Police custody after he had slapped Dahal at a tea reception on November 16. He was beaten black and blue by the Maoist cadres after he assaulted Dahal.
