RAUTAHAT, Dec 22: The curfew has continued in Rautahat for the third consecutive day on Tuesday. Taking the the request of the locals into consideration, the curfew had been lifted from 4 until 11 this morning.
District Adminstration Office Rautahat had clamped curfew followng the death of student Tabharez Alam in the police firing on last Sunday afternoon.

Students union had closed down all the schools in Rautahat distirct in protest of Alam's death and had vandalized some police stations through Monday. Alam who had come to take part in the demonstration with his maternal uncle had died in police firing. United Democratic Front (UDMF) has been intensifying its Tarai-centric protests after the talks with the government ended inclusively.
