RUKUM, May 2: Locals at Rungha VDC-2 here have set up a college running classes up to the B.Ed. level, especially targeted to married women who have not been able to continue their higher education for various reasons.

Women of seven Village Development Committees (VDCs) who were unable to continue their higher education after completing higher secondary level would be benefited with the establishment of the college here.[break]

The college is established keeping in mind the lack of a college for higher education after the completion of higher secondary level in the area, especially for women from Rugha, Bhalakcha, Chaukhabang, Khara, Muru, Peugha and Chunawang VDCs, said Dilli Bahadur Malla, chairman of the College Management Committee.

One hundred and four people including 53 women have enrolled themselves in the college in the first batch, according to Cmapus Chief Khem Bahadur Bom.
