The street festival over the years has consistently promoted togethernes and provided a platform for cultural exchange and social cohesiveness, said Salman Latif Rawn, Country Manager of Bottler´s Nepal Limited, Coca-Cola SABCO, explaining reason behind Coca-Cola´s partnering with the festival. “We hope that our association with REBAN will help us refresh and reach out to consumers and encourage them to enjoy meals with their families and friends,” a press release of Bottler´s Nepal Limited quoted Rawn as saying.
The 14th Pokhara Street Festival is set to kick off on Friday and will last till January 1. REBAN has said the event is being held to bid adieu to 2012 and welcome 2013. More than 100 food and beverage items will be available at the fair. With people from across the country as well as international tourists coming together to celebrate the holiday season, it has also expected the event to draw more than 200,000 visitors this year.
Coca-Cola has announced that it has partnered with the festival to have Coca-Cola´s wide range of beverages served across all the food stalls participating in the event and offering consumers combo meals to be enjoyed with the products of largest selling beverages producer in the country.
"Pokhara Street Festival has become an event where people from across Nepal come to enjoy the best that Nepal has to offer. We are very happy and delighted that companies like Coca-Cola are partnering with us to make this festival bigger and better each year," commented REBAN President Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai after the Coca-Cola´s partnership announcement.
