Speaking on the second day of the Young Entrepreneurs´ Summit-South Asia (YES-SA) 2013 held here on Friday, various entrepreneurs like Sekhar Golchha, Sujeev Shakya, Kiran Bhakta Joshi and Biswas Dhakal from Nepal, Zulfikar Ali Bader from Pakistan and Ejaj Ahmad from Bangladesh talked about entrepreneurial eco-system and going global using various technologies.[break]
The summit is being organized with an objective to bring together young entrepreneurs and politicians of the South Asian region with a vision to eliminate socio-economic problems of the region.
Speaking at the program, Biswas Dhakal, president of F1Soft International, entrepreneurs should focus on brand, availability and pricing (BAP) if they want to go global. Citing an example of Facebook, Dhakal said, “Facebook has been popular mainly because the brand is available all over the world free of cost”.
Kiran Bhakta Joshi, founder of Incessant Rain Animation Studios, highlighted the importance of networking, training and social campaigning for any entrepreneurs to be successful.
On the occasion, Suraj Vaidya, president of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI); Shesh Ghale, Australian billionaire of Nepali origin; Rani Gurung Kashyapati, principal of Shuvatara School; Rehan Allahwala, president of Super Technologies Inc of Pakistan; Annisul Huq, immediate past president of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAARC-CCI); and Kamela Sidiqi, entrepreneur from Afghanistan talked about their journey and motivated the youth entrepreneurs on dealing with failures.
Ghale said entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, personal integrity and financial performance are the characteristics for being a successful entrepreneur.
Samir Thapa, president of Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs´ Forum (NYEF), said the three-day summit is the first of its kind event where youth leaders from eight political parties of Nepal and leaders from all other South Asian region are participating for socio-economic development of the region.
The youth leaders will be talking on ´cross border learning on political economy´ on Saturday. As many as 350 entrepreneurs from the region are participating in the three-day event which kicked off on Thursday. The NYEF is the organizer of the event, while the South Asian Young Entrepreneurs Forum (SYEF) and SAARC-CCI are the co-organizers.
Thapa said that YES-SA will be held in Pakistan in August next year.
Likewise, the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) will be organizing the conference in Nepal in 2015. From 2015 onwards, the event will be named YES-World.
