Chittaranjan Nepali appointed chancellor of Nepal Bhasa Academy

KATHMANDU, March 27: Writer and scholar Chittaranjan Nepali has been appointed the Chancellor of the Nepal Bhasa Academy, the pioneer institution established with the objective of promoting and preservation of the Nepal Bhasa literature and culture.

Similarly, Yagya Ratna Dhakhwa is appointed the Vice Chancellor, Malla K Sundar the Member Secretary and Dr Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar the Treasurer.Dr Chandra Man Bajracharya, Dr Tej Ratna Kansakar, Najar Ram Maharjan, Laxmidas Manandhar and Prof Prem Shanti Tuladhar are nominated to the 15-member Working Committee of the Academy. The remaining members would be nominated later on.

Likewise, senior film critic Bijaya Ratna Asabare, educationist Deepak Tuladhar and litterateur Sashikala Manandhar have been nominated to the Working Committee from among the five distinguished persons associated with the Nepal Bhasa literature, art and culture fields for the time being, the Academy sources stated.
