KATHMANDU, March 18: Chairman of interim election government Khil Raj Regmi gave full shape to his cabinet by inducting eight new ministers on Monday evening.
Regmi has appointed Madhav Paudel as education, information and communications and general administration minister, Shankar Koirala as finance and industry, commerce and supplies minister, Uma Kanta Jha as energy, science, technology and environment and irrigation minister and Chabi Lal Panta as physical infrastructure and transport and town development minister. [break]Similarly, Tek Bahadur Thapa (Gharti) as agriculture development and forest and soil conservation minister, Biddhyadhar Mallik as federal affairs and local development and health and population minister minister, Ram Kumar Shrestha as youth and sports, peace, reconstruction and culture and tourism and civil aviation and Riddhi Baba Pradhan as women, children and social development and land reforms and management minister have also been appointed in the cabinet.
Regmi administers oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers in presence of President Ram Baran Yadav amid a function at Shital Niwas.
The chairman had earlier inducted two new ministers in his cabinet Madhav Prasad Ghimire as home affairs and foreign affairs minister and Hari Prasad Neupane as law, justice and federal affairs and labor and employment minister.
Earlier, the four major political parties--UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front--had agreed to form an 11-member cabinet led by the chief justice.
