KATHMANDU, Feb 27: The Constituent Assembly´s Reports Study Committee formed to study the reports of the 11 thematic committees is set to forward the second report to the full house of the CA.

A meeting of the committee on Friday concluded discussions on the report submitted by the Committee on Determining the Structure of Constitutional Bodies and decided to forward the report to the 601-member House. "We will hand in the report to CA Chair Subas Nembang on Tuesday," said a member of the committee.

The study committee has suggested five constitutional bodies in the future constitution.

The committee led by Agni Kharel is entrusted with sorting out issues like overlapping, repetition and redundant provisions in the reports. The full house will then forward the reports to the Constitutional Committee (CC), which is entrusted with preparing a single draft of the constitution.

So far, only one report has reached the CC, which is sans any work after completing discussion on the report.

As per the ninth amendment of the CA calendar, the CC was supposed to prepare the integrated draft by March 5. But it has concluded discussions only on a single report, suggesting that the 10th amendment in the calendar is unavoidable.
