BUSINESS BRIEFS: Young entrepreneurs join hands

POKHARA, Jan 26: Two associations of young businessmen in Pokhara --Young Entrepreneurs Association (YEA) and Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF) -- merged on Monday to put forth their interests more effectively in coming days.



The joint association has been named as Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum Pokhara, said Niranjan Shrestha, president of the Forum. [break]



“We forged alliance to institutionalize and transform the business enterprises into modern ones,” Shrestha said.





Bajaj bike for traffic cops



KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Hansraj Hulaschand and Company, the sole authorized dealer of Bajaj motorbikes for Nepal, on Monday handed over a Bajaj Pulsar 180 cc bike to Traffic Police Office, Narayanghat.



DIG Navaraj Dhakal received the motorbike on behalf of Traffic Police Office, Narayanghat, according to a press statement by the company. Earlier, the company had provided three motorbikes to the QRT (Quick Response Team) of Kathmandu Valley and three more bikes in Itahari and Biratnagar.



"We have been helping the Traffic Police for the management and control of traffic in various cities," the statement quoted Shekhar Golchha, executive director of the company, as saying.
