KATHMANDU, March 1: Teletalk Private limited, the sole authorized distributor of Spice Mobile phones in Nepal, has launched the first Spice phone from the new Qwerty series -- Spice QT-55.



This ultra-modern set comes with features like easy SMS, social networking and instant messaging. [break]



“With this new advanced feature packed QT-55, Spice Mobile Ltd has once again proved its commitment to creating user-friendly phones that enhance the whole mobile experience,” the company said in a statement.



It also has QWERTY keypad, dual memory card operating at same time, 1800 mAh battery, wireless FM, 4 GB expandable memory in each card and can be used as a remote control for laptops and desktops during presentations. QT-55 also comes with a powerful digital camera and 2.2” wide screen.





Vigor Energy Drink ´drink and win contest´



KATHMANDU, March 1: Manoj Trading House, the only authorized franchise of Malaysia´s Vigor Power Energy Drink in Nepal, has launched ´Drink and Win Contest´ from Monday.



“Under this contest, customers will get a scratch card which will have unique numbers. The number has to be sent as an SMS to 2722 to win prizes,” Manoj Trading said in a statement.



The company will offer attractive gift hampers on daily basis, weekly cash prizes and a laptop or iPhone each month. The three-month scheme will run throughout the country for three months, according to the company.





Vibhor holds 2nd AGM



KATHMANDU, March 1: Vibhor Development Bank Limited conducted its 2nd annual general meeting on Friday. This is the bank´s first annual general meeting after issuing shares to the commoners.



According to a statement issued on Monday, the bank was able to collect deposit of Rs 2.04 billion and make operating profit of Rs 56.77 million and net profit of Rs 48.33 million in fiscal year 2009/2010.



As a part of its special share scheme, the bank was successful in issuing shares to the commoners under Vibhor super share deposit scheme offer, the statement added.





S307 Cuckoo launched



KATHMANDU, March 1: Gadgets Nepal has launched S307 Cuckoo handset (music express) in the market. The marked price of this new cell phone is Rs 4,650.



“This new set has different features like dual SIM, shake and change, torch led, FM, Mp3, 1.3 mega pixel camera and video, Bluetooth, JAVA, EMS, MMS, WAP, GPRS and USB charging among others,” the company said in a statement issued Monday.



The set has expandable memory capacity up to 4 GB. “This music handset is the cheapest phone in the market with wide functions,” the statement added.
