KATHMANDU: MAW, the distributor of Yamaha bikes in Nepal, has organized ´Yamaha Safe Riding Science´ -- a global initiative by Yamaha -- at Oxford College of Engineering and Management at Gaidakot, Nawalparasi. The campaign was organized with the objective of raising safety awareness as part of its unique Corporate Social Responsibility. According to a press statement, 60 students participated in the program. "The workshop enlightens bikers on various topics like the most common causes of accidents and ways to avoid them, precautions to take while riding, scientific evaluation of critical traffic conditions, proper riding posture, and tips on breaking and most importantly the significance of traffic rules and why it should be followed," said the statement.
