BUSINESS BRIEFS: Civil bank launches SME loan

KATHMANDU , March 20: Civil Bank has launched a new loan product called ´Civil SME Loan, 6 Days to Cash´. “This scheme enables small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to obtain loan of up to Rs 10 million within 6 days of submission of all required documents”, a statement issued by the bank says, quoting CEO Kishore Maharjan.



The scheme has currently been launched in Kamaladi branch of the bank. “It will be extended to other branch offices in the near future,” the statement says. The bank also plans to introduce other such schemes in the market in the coming days.[break]



Mega opens 2 branchless banking outlets

KATHMANDU
: Mega Bank has opened branchless banking outlets in Fulbari of Kailali district and Tankisinabari of Morang district. With the addition of these two outlets, the bank now has 27 branchless banking outlets throughout the country, according to a statement issued by the bank.



Mega is extending branchless banking service throughout the country with the motive of empowering rural population, the statement quotes Yubraj Guragain, head of Mega´s micro banking department, as saying. Mega Bank is opening 22 more branchless banking outlets throughout the country within mid-April, the statement further says.



Premier Rio in Nepal

KATHMANDU
: Mahabir Automobiles has launched Premier Rio in the Nepali market. According to a press statement issued on Wednesday, the SUV has an appealing design and provides fuel efficiency of 23.75 km per liter. It has short turning radius of 4.7 meters and high ground clearance of 200 mm, said the statement. AP Goel, general manager of Premier Automotive, India, launched the vehicle amid a program on Tuesday.



Mahabir Automobiles deals on Swaraj agricultural tools. It is also the distributor of TVS bikes in Nepal. The company has been selling Roadstar delivery van and passenger vans of Premier India in Nepal, according to the statement.



JCB customers´ meet

KATHMANDU
: MAW Enterprises JCB Division organized a gathering of JCB customers in Dhangadi on Monday. According to a press statement, JCB customers from Kailali, Kanchanpur, Baitadi, Accham, Doti, Dhadeldura, Bajhang, Bajura, and Darchula participated in the event. MAW Enterprises organized the meet in Dhangadi to bring together all the people related to construction sector and make them aware and educate about the use of modern JCB machines. MAW Enterprises sells JCB products such as Backhoe loader, excavator, wheeled loader, roller, compactor and LiftAll.
