Bus collision leaves 17 injured in Saptari

KATHMANDU, Oct 19: A bus accident which occurred on Wednesday morning in Saptari has left 17 persons injured including six foreign nationals.



A bus rammed into a stationary bus parked on the roadside resulting in the accident, informed District Police Office, Saptari. [break]



Both the buses overturned on the road when the passenger bus (Na 4 Kha 5871) en-route to Kakadbhitta collided with another bus (Na 4 Kha 3824).



Of the injured, one has been taken to Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital, Rajbiraj, while the remaining 13 including  the six foreign nationals were sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, informed Police Chief Ganesh Bahadur Thapa.



The injured five Americans and one Canadian have been discharged after receiving treatment, informed the police.



The bus driver is at large after the accident.
