Bank officials robbed of Rs 5m in Mahottari

JANAKPUR, June 12: A gang of unidentified persons has robbed Rs 5 million of officials of the Sahayogi Bikas Bank, who, carrying the cash, were traveling to the bank’s Mahottari branch office from its Janakpur-based central office, at 3 pm on Wednesday.



According to Mohattari police chief SP Pawan Prasad Kharel the bank officials were traveling on a private Jeep (Na 2 Cha 2722), when the crime happened. The police officer also said the looters fled after the incident. “We are trying to establish the culprits’ identities and arrest them,” he added.
