YCL State Committee In-charges Padam KC of Abadh, Arjun Sahila of Taruwan, Sabitra Dura of Tamuwan and Netra Bikram Chanda ´Biblab´ of Magarat went to Dahal´s residence at Maharajgunj to submit the memorandum, Monday.
The YCL In-charges alleged that the situation of Maoist combatants affiliated to the YCL had become pitiable though they had helped elevate the party´s leaders to the top position.
They have demanded that YCL members who were taken from the cantonments to serve in the paramilitary body be given financial packages on par with PLA members choosing voluntary retirement.
The YCL faction has announced that it would hold discussions on their demands with Maoist PLA division commanders on February 23, with Maoist Military Commission In-charge Ram Bahadur Thapa and PLA chief Nanda Kishor Pun on February 24. They have announced a meeting with party office-bearers on the 25th to apprise them of the demands.
Likewise, the YCL has announced they would expose the names of ´corrupt´ senior leaders within the party on February 26.
“We have a plan to vandalize vehicles belonging to PLA commanders and party leaders above central committee level from February 27 to March 3 if our demands are not addressed by Sunday,” said a YCL leader.
The Baidya faction YCL has decided to stage indefinite sit-ins at the residence of Chairman Dahal starting March 3, should the party fail to meet their demands.
