Likewise, Ram Bahadur Thapa, who arrived here two days ago, held meeting with party leaders of the Maoist Limbuwan state committee and district level leaders of Sunsari and Jhapa.
Shrestha said Thapa organized an orientation program for over 100 cadres in Itahari and directed them to be mentally prepared for rebellion after May 27-the deadline to promulgate new constitution. Thapa also urged his supporters to counter activities of rival faction.
Addressing a press conference Thapa said there was no chance of promulgating a new constitution within May 27. “Even if there is one, it will be an anti-people constitution,” he said. Thapa also alleged the government and the rival faction of being against peace and the new constitution.
Though the 12-point understanding had tried to ensure dignified integration of the Maoist combatants in the Nepal Army, the recent seven-point was trying to make the issue of army integration a recruitment center of the NA. “The seven-point agreement has insulted the combatants,” Thapa said.
