Another accused in Chhedi Yadav murder nabbed

REPUBLICA Jan 27: Police has nabbed seven, of the thirteen absconding accused murderers of Chhedi Yadav, who was murdered on December 15, 2011, at Laxmuniya of Siraha District. Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Crime Division on Friday nabbed absconding Rajesh Yadav, 26, of Siraha from Kupandole, Lalitpur following a tip-off.



According to the crime division, Rajesh has been handed over to the Siraha Police for further action. According to SP Bikram Gurung, head of the Siraha Police, the accused was presented before the district court on Sunday. He said, “We will soon arrest the other accused as we have surveyed some areas where they might be hidden.” The government had formed a probe panel to investigate the murder after Chhedi Yadav was found with his throat slit.
